Here are the answers to our most frequently asked questions. Please reach out if you cannot find the answer to your question below.
Arriving at the Property
The exact address was sent with your check-in information. Upon your arrival, look for the white 'Smoky Mountain Vistas' sign with the cabin name and address.
August Smart Locks
We use August smart locks with keypad enabled. You have the option of entering the code or downloading the app. Your arrival information will be sent 24-48 hours prior to your check-in time and will contain your security code to use the keypad. You will also receive a text invitation from August to download the app (please check your spam if you have not received it). If you have any difficulties with the keypad please use the app to gain access. In the event that both the keypad and app do not work, we have a key. Please call 863-660-7113 if you cannot access the cabin.
Thermostats
You can control the thermostats with Alexa (unless she's misbehaving) or directly on the thermostat itself. For the Nest thermostats (round & reflective), use your right index finger and run it along the right side to adjust the temperature to your desired comfort level. The others have a simple '+ or -' options if you tap the unit. Please do be mindful when setting the temperature if doors are open or you are using the fireplace.
WiFi
All cabins have fiber internet with speeds of up to 1000 Mbps. For The Overlook and Woodhaven, you will connect through a mesh system by logging on to 'Smoky Mountain Vistas Guest' ~ no password required. If you the WiFi signal is weak or only works in one part of the cabin, please make sure you did not unplug an access point (they look like white saucers with a ring of light).
Early Check-In
We would love to accommodate every early check-in request but in most cases, you'll be arriving to a cabin that hosted guests the previous night. Our team works diligently to get the cabins ready as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee an early check-in until the day of arrival. If the cabin is ready prior to 4pm, we will notify you and modify the key code.
Late Check-Out
Although we'd love to offer you a late check-out, our team has to prepare the cabin for our next guests. Their schedule is largely dependent upon how guests have left the space and is highly unpredictable. We ask that you respect their time and depart at 10am. If you have exceptional circumstances and we are not in a peak travel season, please reach out directly with your request.
Bears
All cabins/chalets are located very close to the GSMNP. For this reason, we tend to have more bear sightings than other cabins in the Smokies. Rest assured they are not aggressive (unless provoked) and are simply looking for food. It is critical that you do not leave trash in your cars and that all food is removed from the decks and gas grills when you are not present. Also, remember to keep your car doors locked as well as those to the cabin to ensure you don't have any unwanted visitors.
Hot Tub
The hot tub water is changed between guests. It will likely be up to temperature on the evening you arrive. You will notice that it will cycle on and off frequently during this time as it tries to catch up. If you do not hear it heating, please double check the breaker on the deck to ensure it hasn't tripped. If you need additional support, please call 863-660-7113.
*Note: Y'all Tucked Inn-Apartment does not have a hot tub for guest use.
Fireplaces
Please do not use the fireplaces during the warmer months (May-September) while the AC is running, with the exception of the electric fireplace at The Overlook (please ensure the heater in off using the switch on the right side under the metal curtain). The gas for Mountainside and fire logs for Woodhaven will be provided for reservations in Oct-April. Please bring your own firewood/logs for Y'all Tucked Inn

If you have an extended stay of 6-7 days we will arrange a courtesy trash pickup on day 3-4. If you have filled the bins and have no more space, you will need to take your excess trash to the garbage depot. You may make a drop daily from 8:30-4:00pm on Heiden Dr (junction between Heiden and Ski Mountain Rd).
